3 of a kind

I have really been enjoying bright summer colors with just a simple black design

wrapped up

Just playing around with color tonight; I'm a little under the weather and I didn't have the energy to do anything super detailed :)

dragging anchor

I've had this mani in mind for quite a while; I originally saw the flags on Pinterest and I've been thinking about them ever since.

red angel plates!

While looking through Spellbinding Nails blog the other day I saw her post on these Red Angel plates.
Some of the images are kind of ridiculous, but 21 plates for $11.99 I couldn't resist!

lavender and lemon

I thought I would do something a little brighter to combat this mid-November dreary weather. I used plate M65 from Konad with a really great lavender from Studio M called Shabby Drab. The yellow is Sally Hansen Insta-Dri in Lightning. The Insta-Dri line is fantastic for stamping!

pink clouds

Tonights mani was inspired by this poster that I found on pinterest. I love the colors, even though I switched the gray for navy blue ;) I used two plates tonight, SH-25 and M-79.

butterflies...I think?

I honestly have no idea if these are butterflies or bows, but either way, I think they're adorable :)

lace and flowers

I had to do a quick mani tonight so I thought I would do a little stamping. I used Konad plate M57 for the flowers and the fishnet - the result is a very sweet lace look :)

polka party!

I used all acrylic paint again and it is so fun to work with :) I did run into a problem yesterday because I used a different brand as a base coat on my right hand. Half way through the day the paint actually started to peel off - I think its because the other brand was more of a craft paint.

yellow jacket!

Not a whole lot of options for "Y"....but this works for me :)
I read recently that you can use acrylic paint for nail art so I ordered a set and I also got a set of new brushes. Both seem to be working out well so far. The brushes are from M.A.S.H. and the paints are from Reeves. On the plus side, the paint dries faster than nail polish and it doesn't smear with a top coat; negatives, I'm not exactly sure what the best way to remove it is if I make a mistake, and some of the colors aren't very opaque. We'll see how it goes.....

Hearts (of course!)

I could not resist trying this cute little mani I saw on Nailside the other day, and how perfect that it should coincide with todays letter!

"D" is for DAWN FARM!

I work for an amazing non-profit organization called Dawn Farm (follow the link to read about how awesome the Farm is). Every year there is a fund raiser called the Jamboree; there's a ton of cool stuff to do and its for a great cause. If you are even remotely near Ypsilanti, Michigan, I suggest you come and check it out!
BTW - one of the items in the auction is a manicure by little old me ; )

"C" is for chandelier

Well, it was an amazing vacation but I am glad to be home! I really missed my nightly nail polishing, although my nails probably needed the break.
Back to my A-Z mani project; tonight is the letter "C":

This mani just so happens to match the new Coach purse my dear Husband bought me today. I'll post pics tomorrow :)

how d'ya like them apples?

I received 6 new image plates and I am so excited! Tonight I used plate M55 from Konad and its all fruit. I think I'm gonna do A - Z nails, starting with apples!

its tokidoki!

I spent a ridiculously long time on this but I don't even care because it is totally awesome. That's right, awesome.

vintage inspired

I have been looking through different swatches of vintage fabric and the designs are incredible! I found this one last night and thought I'd give it a try:
