dem bones
In the past 2 days, between the chiropractor and the dentist, I've seen pretty much every bone from the top of my head to the bottom of my spine. I know it will all pay off, but right now everything kinda hurts.

dragging anchor
I've had this mani in mind for quite a while; I originally saw the flags on Pinterest and I've been thinking about them ever since.

polka dots
Its been a while since I've done any polka dots! If I wasn't going through my plates, on my 30 Days of Stamping, I would have done them with a dotting tool; they come out so much brighter. I used one of my favorite Konad plates - M79 (which you might be able to tell by all of the scratches on it)

vine design
The base color for this mani is OPI's Road House Blues and it is such a fantastic purple/blue shade. Although it looks black in the pictures, natural light really brings out the color. I used another Shany plate - this one is actually duplicated in the set that I bought! I'm not complaining though, they're still my favorite so far :)

don't give up the ship!
I really like these new plates from Shany, I can only find one set of them online which is a bit disappointing because they actually work better than some of my more expensive plates.
I used the anchor from plate SH09 and the criss-cross from plate SH23.

pink clouds
Tonights mani was inspired by this poster that I found on pinterest. I love the colors, even though I switched the gray for navy blue ;) I used two plates tonight, SH-25 and M-79.

too cool for prep school
I'm ashamed to admit it but I've been watching a LOT of Gossip Girl lately and I have to say, I'm kind of obsessed with all things preppy right now.

candy colored trees
I found the most amazing website where you can design patterns and color palettes and browse thousands of designs that other people have made. I used a tree pattern that was already created and customized the palette.
Now I'll to have to figure out how to divide my time between Pinterest and Colourlovers ;)

"N" is for nautical!
Probably one of my favorites! This is the first time I've done a whole nautical mani totally freehand and I love how it turned out!

flower print
I picked up a cute little print dress the other day and just happened to have the perfect greens, blues, and purples to go with it. Looks like the obsessive nail polish collecting is paying off!
I also stopped in to Zingerman's Roadhouse for dinner tonight (which was awesome, as usual) and ended up talking to a super nice couple, Ann & Matt. We got to talking about nails and purses and such, and Ann mentioned a friend who she thought might enjoy my little blog - so if you see this, hello!

We sail at break of day
I love this anchor stamp and I never get tired of using it! I did find some other styles on a site called http://www.chez-delaney.com and I plan on ordering a bunch of new plates from them <3

business casual ;)
This mani reminds me of a gentlemans casual tie or something out of one of my J Crew-peppered day dreams.

Double French
I was just going to do another simple stamped design but I guess I need a little more flash! I have a really nice brush from MAC (I think its for eyeliner) that works really well for detail work.
This kind of reminds me of the canvas maryjanes I have with the bows :)

Sugar Skull
This mani took kind of a long time - although most of it was probably spent looking at images online. I have sugar skulls on the back of my legs but they're kind of hard see ; )

last weeks nails
So last week was the Ann Arbor Art Fair and I worked ridiculously long hours in unbelievable heat. I didn't have time to blog all of my nails, but I did manage to keep them cute throughout the whole ordeal! I can't remember all of the different polishes I used but I don't really own anything you can't but at the drug store. There were one or two franken-colors when I couldn't find the right shade but most are pretty standard.
day 1.
day 2.
day 3.
day 4.
and today's nails.
Hopefully I'll get back on track tonight (if this storm doesn't knock out the power!)

i heart summer dresses
I love this dress so much I bought it twice! (There is a pale pink version too)
I tried a few different color combinations but ended up with hot pink for the base - China Glaze nail polish is really pretty incredible. All of the shades I've tried so far have been gorgeous.
